BRIAN D. EDGAR
Director, President and Chief Executive Officer


Mr. Edgar was called to the Bar in British Columbia in May of 1976 and on October 1, 1977 co founded Rand & Edgar, Barristers and Solicitors (law firm partnership). Mr. Edgar practised law continuously as a partner with Mr. William A. Rand until retirement from the practice of law on September 30, 1992. The law firm's practice was confined to corporate/securities law and consisted primarily of advising Canadian and international entrepreneurs on taking venture companies public in Canada. Messrs. Edgar and Rand also handled fund raising by way of public offerings or private placements, asset acquisitions and dispositions, mergers, amalgamations and statutory arrangements.

Effective October 1, 1992, Rand Edgar Capital Corp. (succeeded by Rand Edgar Investment Corp.) was established to pursue venture capital investing and other activities. Rand Edgar Investment Corp. is in the business of providing early stage venture capital to high growth companies and in providing advisory services concerning corporate structuring, finance, business strategies, private and public securities offerings and relations with regulatory authorities, lawyers, accountants and technical consultants.

Mr. Edgar serves on the board of directors of eight public companies.

 
WILLIAM A. RAND
Director and Chairman


Mr. Rand completed articles in Nova Scotia with Stewart, McKeen and Covert and was admitted to the Bar of Nova Scotia in January of 1968. He then moved to British Columbia and articled with Davis & Company, Barristers and Solicitors, one of Vancouver's largest law firms, and continued to practice law with Davis & Company until 1973. He then co-founded Rand, McLaughlin, Gorham & Tolmie, Barristers and Solicitors (law firm partnership) which subsequently evolved into the firm of Rand Edgar & Sedun. Mr. Rand practised law continuously as a partner until retirement from the practice of law on September 30, 1992. The practice was confined to corporate/securities law and consisted primarily of advising Canadian and international investors and entrepreneurs on taking companies public in Canada. The firm also advised on fund raising by way of public offerings or private placements, asset acquisitions and dispositions, mergers, amalgamations and statutory arrangements.

Effective October 1, 1992, Mr. Rand and Mr. Brian D. Edgar established a private company, Rand Edgar Capital Corp., to pursue investment banking and other investment activities. Rand Edgar Capital Corp. was succeeded by Rand Edgar Investment Corp. in 1998. Rand Edgar Investment Corp. is in the business of providing early stage venture capital to high growth companies and in providing advisory services concerning corporate structuring, finance, business strategies and private and public securities offerings.

Mr. Rand serves on the board of directors of ten public companies.

 
ROBERT F. CHASE
Director


Mr. Chase is a senior executive with over 30 years of experience as the top executive or chief financial officer for a number of companies whose activities included investment/merchant banking, commercial banking, oil and gas exploration and development, mining exploration and development, forest products and port terminal operations. Until 1995, Mr. Chase's business activities were concerned with very large international public companies. During the past ten years, his activities have centered on junior public companies involved with international mining exploration activities and high tech software operations. The international scope of some of his activities required offshore residency in the Caribbean and Latin America but Vancouver, Canada has been home for the past 28 years. Mr. Chase graduated as a chartered accountant and in addition to his current role as the CEO of New West Energy Services Inc., he sits on the Board of Directors of several other TSX and TSX-V companies involved in oil and gas activities, mining exploration, financial services and forestry operations.

 
MATTHEW J. MASON
Director


Mr. Mason is an independent self-exmployed businessman and investor. Mr. Mason has acted as a director and/or officer of several companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange. As one of Canada's preeminent mineral property stakers, Mr. Mason has acquired and financed the acquisition and development of over 35 million acres and has assisted in raising in excess of $200 million. The projects that Mr. Mason has been involved with have raised in excess of $1 billion. Mr. Mason is currently also a director of Hathor Exploration Ltd. and a partner in The Saskatchewan Syndicate, both of which are developing mineral assets in the Athabasca Basin in Canada.

 
TIMOTHY A. YOUNG
Director


Mr. Young's career in mineral exploration began over 15 years ago with field work in many capacities ranging from staking claims to diamond drilling on Canadian and international exploration projects. In 1996 Mr. Young began prospecting independently and since then has achieved success assembling diamond, gold, nickel, copper, zinc and uranium properties to vend and option to various mineral exploration groups.

In 2002 Mr. Young formed a mineral exploration services company specializing in mineral claims staking across Canada. In the last three years, Mr. Young's company has staked over 7 million acres in Saskatchewan, Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, Nunavut, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories for clients that range from major international mining firms to independent prospectors.

In August 2004 Mr. Young collaborated with Mr. Matthew J. Mason to form The Saskatchewan Syndicate with a mandate to assemble uranium projects in Saskatchewan's prolific Athabasca Basin uranium district. Since its inception, the Syndicate has acquired and dealt on in excess of 5.5 million acres and as a result, The Saskatchewan Syndicate now holds the largest royalty in the world's premier uranium camp.

 
TIMOTHY T. BARRY
Director


Mr. Barry is a registered geologist (MAusIMM) who obtained his BSc in Geology from the University of Otago in New Zealand. Over the past 10 years, Mr. Barry has acquired a well rounded resume of experience working as a geologist in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Mongolia and West Africa. Mr. Barry is currently heading up Dome's field operations in Africa.
